We are no longer selling this Excalibur Dehydrator (see comparison below), but we still carry the TeFlex non-stick 5ml sheets that fit their trays, which you can find at the bottom of this page. After conducting tests on this machine we decided these are very over priced units and we believe the Good 4 U dehydrators are a much better choice.
Here is the Comparison we Have Done;
The G4U is Less Expensive, a Better Value!
The G4U is Quieter, Excalibur is Noticeably Louder!
The G4U Takes Up Less Space, Has a Smaller Foot Print!
The G4U Has Less Power Consumption.
The G4U Offers Timers, Excalibur 2400, 2500 & 2900's Does Not!
The G4U has a much more accurate thermostat, it only varied by 4.4 degrees. When we tested Excalibur we set the dial at 95 degrees and it ranged from 88.4-104.7 which varied by 16.3 degrees. We sell many dehydrators to raw food people who want to preserve enzyme activity so we feel a more accurate thermostat is the better choice.
The G4U Company has MUCH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE.
We have used the Excalibur dehydrator for years and one complaint we have on it was when do tomato paste on the non-sheets we would have several trays come out an almost black in color. We always tried to keep the temperature below 115 degrees so we were not using excess heat. From our testing of the G4U last year we did not experience that problem near as much. I really think if you look at all the differences between the two dehydrators you will see why we dropped the Excalibur line.
You can find the Good 4 U Dehydrators on our site by using the drop down menu under the dehydrator tab at the top.
