Twin Health Marathon

We have 1 brand new (never been out the box) Twin Health Juicer for sale. We bought this machine to test it against the Green Star Juicer but we decided not to do the test after hearing the negatives about the Twin Health. Below is an actual e-mail we took from our customer with a Twin Health Juicer.
Hi- Per our conversation a few minutes ago, our experience with the new Twin Health juicer we purchased was not a pleasant one. Once we got it together, which was a little tricky fitting the 2 parts of the screen properly, my husband proceeded to begin juicing. The juicer would not even process 1 carrot without telling us to stop to wait for the juicer. Additionally, the instructions state that there is not need to cut up into smaller pieces the vegetables unless they don't fit. Taking that as written, my husband put a fairly large carrot into the feeder and it wouldn't go through the gears. Generally, we can juice for 3 of us within a reasonable amount of time. By the time he was finished juicing for the 3 of us, he had taken 3 times longer to get the job done than what it takes with the Green Life juicer (Green Star Replaced this juicer back in 2000). I was very glad to find your site to get replacement parts!! The only positive thing I can say about the Twin Health is that the clean up is a little quicker, but we certainly lost that in the juicing time. If we had to juice with the Twin Health daily, if would not be longer before we discontinued juicing altogether.
Sincerely, Vera B.
We took this next review from the Nextag web site and this review is from someone using it in a restaurant and I know most people would be using it at home. http://www.nextag.com/twin-health-marathon-juicer/search-html
Back to the drawing board.

I was thrilled when I first purchased this machine. Slow motor and twin stainless steel screws. Thought this baby was hot stuff but just another nagging women. I use my juicer for production work. Stress cracks started at the base of the feed port started within 3 weeks (had to supper glue it to stop crack). I work in a Health Cafe and must clean 3 times per day. Difficult to clean, must use bleach because stain from veggies difficult to remove and the machine has a lot of nooks and crannies. The voice is irritating after the first week, needs complete turn off completely for sanity. Slow on carrots and must cut lengthwise for feed, also big leafy stuff difficult to feed. One of the things I looked for was ease of use and cleanup which was stressed in the advantages - this is bull! Some of my employee’s will 'not touch this machine' because it takes a little patience to get the twin screws in sync. It also produces a lot of foam on the generic screen when doing Wheatgrass. The machine needs cleaning and jams quite a bit - this is a big pain. It's not fun tearing this down in front of a customer. There are also certain health concern requirements for cleaning for restaurant use. Now I must bleach the machine to get the gunk off and then soak in sterilizer solution. Another pain.
Be sure and see this page for a comparison chart. Read the part about the twin gears and the buffer Green Star uses to keep metal shavings out of the juice.
